The Tula Bag is a great project for both beginner and experienced bag makers. In addition to detailed instructions, this pattern includes BOTH a printable sewing pattern and measure and cut instructions. If using the measure and cut method, you will need to print just 1 page which includes a rounding corner. Files are available for instant download after checkout and the pattern pieces can be printed on a home printer on letter or A4 paper.

Materials & Supplies Needed to Make Your Tula Bag:

Exterior Fabric (44” wide):   3/4 yard                                                                   Lining Fabric (44” wide):    3/4 yard
Fusible Woven Interfacing (Pellon SF101 or similar - 20” wide):    1  1/3 yards
7” zipper - 1
3/4” Magnetic Snap - 1
1” D-ring or swivel hook - 1

Suggested Fabrics: Medium weight canvas, denim or similar for the exterior. Quilting weight cotton for lining.

Note: Heavier fabrics may be used if your machine can handle it. You also have the option of eliminating the fusible interfacing for the exterior pieces. If eliminating exterior interfacing, reduce fusible interfacing requirement to 1/2 yard and interface lining pieces only as instructed.

Other Notions + Tools: fabric pen or chalk, ruler, thread, Microtex or denim needle, hand sewing needle, zipper foot. If measuring & cutting instead of printing all pattern pieces, a rotary cutter, gridded ruler and cutting mat are also required.
