Materials & Supplies Needed to Make Your Chester Tote Bag:

• Exterior Fabric Option #1 (USE 1 FABRIC ONLY FOR OUTSIDE): 1 yard (44” wide)
• Exterior Fabric Option #2 - (USE 1 MAIN FABRIC + 1 ACCENT FABRIC FOR THE OUTSIDE POCKETS & ZIPPER COVER): 3/4 yard main fabric (44” wide) + 1/2 yard accent fabric (32” wide)
• Lining Fabric: 1 yard (44” wide)
• Fusible Woven Interfacing Option #1 (Pellon SF 101 or similar for all interfaced pieces): 2-3/4 yards (20” wide)
• Fusible Interfacing Option #2 (Use a medium weight fusible interfacing like Pellon 809 OR fusible fleece for the main exterior pieces + SF101 for remaining pieces): 5/8 yard fusible fleece OR medium weight fusible (45” wide) + 1-5/8 yards SF101 (20” wide)
• Cotton Webbing: 3 yards (1-1/2” Wide)
• 15" or Longer Nylon Double Slide Handbag Zipper (1-1/4” zipper tape width) x 1
• 8” Zipper (1” or 1-1/4” zipper tape width) for interior pocket x 1
• 1” Wide D-Ring OR swivel hook x 1
• 3/4” (18mm) Magnetic Snap x 1
• 1-1/2” Wide D-Rings x 2

Suggested Fabrics: Medium weight canvas or similar woven fabric for the exterior. Quilting weight cotton for lining. 

Other Notions + Tools: Erasable fabric marker, gridded ruler, thread, zipper foot, denim or Microtex needle, wonder clips/pins, iron, polyester thread. For basting zipper: basting tape (Wonder Tape), basting glue or hand sewing needle.
